OUR INVESTMENT IN THE FUTURE

BAR AND BAT MITSVAH

These ceremonies occur for boys and girls at the traditional age of thirteen. They are expected to read a portion from the Sefer Torah, as well as assisting the Minister on the day of the celebration. Preparation generally begins a year before the event. Students are required to attend Shabbat Services with their families, at least six months before their big day, to build confidence and familiarity.

BEN AND BAT TORAH

After Bar/Bat Mitsvah we encourage our young men and women to work for the Ben1Bat Torah award which is earned through achievement in both Jewish study and communal involvement.
